 will be embarking on an expedition from 'Burleigh to Base Camp Everest' to help raise money and awareness for the Hear and Say Centre Queensland.

Theme for trip: "Burleigh to Base Camp' - The trip will be in support of the Hear and Say Centre Queensland, to help raise money and awareness for their programme. The Hear and Say Centre is one of the leading Paediatric Auditory-Verbal and cochlear implant centres in the world, teaching children who are deaf or hearing impaired to listen and speak since 1992. Aussie Vineyards has come on board as a major supporter to the Friday Warriors and The Hear and Say Centre.  This relationship will further enhance our ability to raise significant, and much needed funding for The Hear and Say Centre.  Please support Aussie Vineyards by visiting their website HERE. Each Friday Warrior member will be teamed up to a child or family from the Hear and Say programme, where we will each “Take a Teddy” to Everest and document the adventures of Teddy to Base Camp. The kids and family will get such a thrill when Teddy and the photos return.  We have also set up a weblink at http://www.everydayhero.com.au/friday_warriors where donations can be made directly to the Hear and Say Centre. In addition to this, we will be attempting a Guiness World Record attempt for a game of touch football at the highest recorded altitude.
